Field Trips
Field trips are a great way of connecting what students are learning in class to the real world. These are the fieldtrips that we have planned for this year.
Elisabet Ney Museum
The Museum is the former studio and portrait collection created by nineteenth-century sculptor Elisabet Ney. Venerated as one of the oldest museums in Texas, the Elisabet Ney Museum offers visitors a lovingly preserved glimpse into early Texas history and into the life of a creative and spirited woman who lived life passionately in her own inimitable way.
Symphony
Students will be able to see different types of musical instruments they learn about in Music and hear different types of music from around the world.
Natural Gardener
Students will learn about plants by visiting the vegetable, herb, orchard vineyard, butterfly garden, xeriscape and others!
Nutcracker Ballet
Bringing in community resources are great way to educate students without the need to leave the classroom! The content from the presentations are directly linked to what students are learning in class. If you have any ideas on how to help bring in community resources please let your child's teacher know and she would be glad to arrange a schedule for them or you to come and share.
